Empty Vessels Make More Noises

There are many whispers and gossips that take place in the corridors of the Dean of BJ Medical College as also outside the famous vacant slot of room no. 74. In hushed tones white dress peons can be seen whispering the rot in the office of the Dean, the Medcial Superintendent and Deputy Superintendent. The famous lot of peons Chandu, Chavan, Prashant, Mate, Kumbhar of the Medical Superintendent office, joined by Balu of the Deputy Superintendent office and Shewete of the Surgery Department.

What all they discuss is cranking jokes at their bosses and sharing the illegal wealth through medical bills, handicapped and age certificates. Crossing my path to the other end through the passage I could see these bandicoots pocketing money. I once heard Chandu directing a patient to Balu to get a certificate which was refused by the Medical Superintendent, but for a price - Rs. 500, no less. The deal was done, and Balu said that he would share the money with his boss, who he said has no hesitation in grabbing money openly.

Corruption in Sassoon and BJMC is not a hidden secret, its wide open. Everything is managed. The Deputy Medical Superintendent is rumored to be daring to accept any illegal gratification without any fear of being trapped. I heard the three lot - Chandu, Balu and Chavan whispering that shell out money and anything can be done in the hospital and the college.

Once on a visit to the office of the Medical Superintendent, I found him making angry gestures and speaking loud with equally angry outbursts against Dr. Kakrani and Dr. Kadam. Raising his hands high, he was speaking to a journalist and a few female doctors, stating that he would fix Dr. Kakrani and Dr. Kadam for making a mess of his Madhusar and Pinak drug and creating obstacles. I could hear him making threats that he would take both of them to task before a minister from Baramati. It sounds funny of the Medical Superintendent of using the threatening language against Dr. Kakrani and Dr. Kadam, just because they refused to give him clearance for his Ayurvedic drug without trials and evidence. It appeared that he was acting like empty vessels making more noises.

So its Jai Jai Ho. Mera Bharat Mahan, 100 may se 80 beimaan.

Disgusting. What the hell is happening there? And this info on Madhusar drug is alarming. The Government should wake up.

The best way to clean the mess at Sassoon is to sack the Deputy Medical Superintendent. A persons openly indulging in corruption and bringing disgrace to the institution should be sent packing off immediately.

Shame on you Dr. Pawar. A person of your status stooping so low and using threatening language against own colleagues just because they did not do your bidding, is shameful.

If your drug is worth, why you failed to let it undergo trial officially at Sassoon. Why threaten people. And then who is afraid of your threats. Its goondaism in white apron. Shame

Myself as a physician in the hospital I feel that Dr. Pawar is getting paranoid, and am afraid that if he does not control his temper he may land in an mental asylum. It appears so from his rattlings and threats.

First he should concenterate on his job and come clean on corruption in which he is alleged to be making huge money on medical bills. Also he should muster courage to discipline his deputy Dr. Burute. Can he?

Sassoon Hospital and BJ Medicla College have been den of corruption. Indiscipline is wide spread. The hell of rot is visible here. The state government is sleeping, and the corrupt bureaucracy is good for nothing.

I don't understand all the hullabullo on the issue of the Ayurvedic drug Madhusar. It would be better if the critics instead of remaining annoymous come out in the open and speak out. Healthy criticism is appreciated, but launching attacks without substance is ofcourse not appreciated.

Agreed, that not only Ayurvedic but all drugs should go trials, no one would dispute this fact, as it involves precicous lives. But then the manufacturers of the drugs should be given an equal opportunity to give out their version and evidences of the drug. If studies have been done, and I understand it has been, then there should be nothing to hide these studies and prove the critics wrong.

In the age of technology, transparency and accountability, nothing should be kept under wraps. I hope that the manufacturers of Madhusar would prove the critics wrong.

Needless to state, that initially there is opposition to such claims of cure, unless proved otherwise, but once everything is made transparently clear and facts proven, such criticism is laid to rest.

There is no doubt that the manufacturers of Madhusar would come out and silence the critics. Agreed that there is professional jealousy, and this is nothing new, it happens in every arena.

In a democracy set up, the freedom of expression and speech cannot be curbed, throttled or silenced. Therefore, its the anus on part of the defendent to prove others wrong, but then it cannot be done with concrete evidence
