Atleast the riddle classification is a sort of lighting our hearts rolling us all into laughter and tears.

Aaj Ka Dean

Aaj Ka ACTING DEAN Kaun Hain?

I just returned from a long vacation from US and found many changes. The joker Jamkar has gone, and there was a sign of relief for a large number of docs and officials. A senior doc outside the BJ College building said " Arre chale gaya, bahut accha hua, woh VC bane ya Rashtrapati, par ek baat to aachi huee ke ek bahut bada joker chala gaya, sukoon hain.

Well, then why only Jamkar, there are several like him still around. A senior professor said that Jamkar may be saying " Hum to Nashik aaye gaye, par kaate chamche peeche chod aaye hain ( I have come to Nashik, but I have left my stooges behind). Correct absoulately correct. Anyhow, relief is after all relief.

Jamkar left, but there is a horde of aspirants greedy to grab and sit in his vacant chair. Like Jamkar all these Aaj Ka Dean, are in Acting posts, not confirmed and are anxious to sit glue to the chair, forgetting the ethics and protocol, that Acting Deans working for less than 90 days in the post cannot grab the chair, but have to take a side chair. But then who will tell the 'educated idiots" that in the rush to grab and sit in the chair of Aaj Ka Dean, they are violating the norms and procedures.

Professors, Asst. Professors and Lecturers laugh at the Aaj Ka Deans. They take pot shots at these Aaj Ka Deans, laugh like donkeys and gossip in the corridors of the college and hospital. They talk of the Sumo wrestler, Tipu Sultan, Bonzai, Pandu Hawaldar, Sadke Lakde and Chaprasi AO. However they laugh kindheartedly at Salim and his Anarkali, but express full sympathy for Salim. But Salim, gives a sheepish smile when Anarkali in her new attire tries to woo him back, but then Salim had buried her for ever from his broken heart.

Pity the poor Sumo wrestler, who is crumbling down under her heavy weight, but trying to knock down the mischief mongers.After all she is happy with the Aaj ka Dean post. A loudspeaker Professor mockingly said " Yaar when don't she put a changeable board outside the Dean chamber which would mention who is the Aaj ka Dean?" Yaar, she is so stupid, that though she is only holding additional temporary charge, yet she proclaims as Dean. How a big idiot."

And poor Birbal, he is badly missing his Akbar the Babbar Jamkar, but still happy doing the advisory role to the Aaj Ka Deens happily. Old habits die hard. And mind well, who is having the last laugh - none other than our Zero Hero Inamdar the Great. Ha, ha, ha.. Enjoy till the next post.
